10% More Expensive Than $499 IS NOT EQUAL TO a Rp.5,999,000 You Dork!!

Reading my id-mac friend’s renderworks posts about Mac mini announcement in Crowne Plaza Hotel Jakarta just make me feel sick!!

Mr.Gerard Chua or Mr.Toto Tanamas or the media itself say that (anyone should take the stand for making that statement!!) Mac mini sells about 10% more expensive in Indonesia due tax regulation.

Do the math!! Mac mini sells $499 in US alone that’s equal to Rp.4,570,840 (with today’s currency at ~Rp9,160/1USD), while Mac mini sells for Rp.5,999,000 in Indonesia!!! (It’s EQUAL TO 31,245% MORE EXPENSIVE than in US!! Not 10% You Dork!!!)

I feel ashame to the way Apple do the unacceptable marketing statement. It just make you look more stupid. Sorry there I said it!!
