Dual Core headlines everywhere, from Intel to AMD are rushing in. We heard about IBM Antares (PowerPC 970MP) that will be sport Dual Core also and will be use in the upcoming PowerMacs G5. The question is will it all be Dualies (that means Quad processors since All PowerMacs practically are Dual Processors (except new entry level that sports Single Processor (due price concern)). Or will Apple offer only in some configuration??
Although Dual Core G5 seems pretty much exciting, I personally would like to see all dual core in all Apple Macs offering, including Minis and PowerBook. Freescale 8641D (Dual Core G4) has been around since last September, but why should Intel and AMD the only one who got the attention? Is Apple really loose the edge this time to exploit the First Dual Core hype?
