Of course it’s not a PowerBook G5 from Apple. It’s a new Presario M2000 Compaq.
Imagine:
– It’s only 1,050USD (plus bonus a deskjet printer) for Celeron M 1.3GHz 1MB L2 Cache, or 1,275USD for 1.5GHz 2MB L2 Cache with 200 USD dollar printer. (It’s even start as 649USD in US)
– It has a large 15″
– It has 6-in-1 Digital Media Reader
– It has DVD+CDRW
– In short it’s CHEAP!!
– The build quality is comparable to Apple’s
It’s a bit thick at 1.2″ in the front and 1.41″ in the back. It’s about the same thick of IBM ThinkPad 600 (back in 1998).
My question is will you buy Apple PowerBook G5 if it comes in that size (1.4″ thick?) rather than today’s 1.1″ thick Aluminium PowerBook G4?
